Slate and Fairly Staffing
Our first partnership. Fairly staffs dental clinics across Canada, and the data behind that is exactly what capital has always been missing.

Today we are announcing our partnership with Fairly Staffing.
Fairly runs the marketplace where dental clinics find temporary hygienists and assistants. Clinics post shifts, temps take them, the work happens, everyone gets paid. It is a good business built on an unglamorous truth: staffing is the thing that decides whether a practice has a good month.
That makes it one of the best places in Canada to put capital, and here is why.
What Fairly already knows
Two sides of a market, both with a money problem the platform can already see.
The temps do the work first and get paid later. Not because anyone is being difficult, but because payroll runs on a cycle and shifts do not.
The clinics carry the opposite problem. They know when they will be busy, they know what a second operatory would do to their year, and the money to act on either usually shows up a quarter after the moment did.
Fairly holds the record that answers both: who works, how often, how reliably, at which clinics, how much a shift is worth, how a practice staffs across a season. Two years of it, current, and nobody had to fill in anything to produce it.
What we are building together
Two products, one integration, for two completely different customers on the same platform.
Fairly Cash for the temps: the value of a confirmed shift, available before payday, repaid automatically from the paycheck.
Fairly Capital for the clinics: real working capital for equipment, hiring and busy seasons, decided in under a day.
Both wear Fairly's name. Both run on Slate underneath: we size the offers from Fairly's own data, fund them through facilities we manage, carry the credit risk, and run the servicing. Fairly's team never becomes a lending team.
Why we said yes
Amir and the Fairly team came in with the right instinct already formed. They were not looking for a financial product to bolt on for revenue. They wanted the thing that would make the platform more useful to the people on it, and they had noticed that money was the friction in both directions.
That is the partnership we want every time: a platform that knows its customers well enough to know when they are short, and would rather solve it than refer it.
Fairly Cash and Fairly Capital both ship in the coming weeks. If you run a platform with this shape, come talk to us.
