Huumans: funding, inside the software small businesses already run on

Our second partner launch. Huumans gives Canadian small business owners working capital in the same place they budget, reconcile and ask for advice.

Most small business owners meet their financing options at the worst possible moment: after the problem has already happened, in a browser tab, at eleven at night, next to fourteen other tabs.

Huumans took the other approach. Build the software an owner uses every week to run the business, then put the funding inside it, matched to what the software can already see.

Today that part is live, and Slate is underneath it.

What Huumans is

A small business platform in Canada, free to use, that does three things: helps owners fund the business, run it, and grow it. Budgeting, accounting integrations with Xero and QuickBooks, a marketplace of tools, AI help for reading your own numbers, and real advisors when a person is what you actually need.

The funding side surfaces the options that fit an owner's real financials rather than a list of everything that exists. Working capital advances go up to $50,000.

Why this one is a good fit

Because Huumans is already looking at the accounting data. Not a snapshot uploaded during an application: the live connection an owner set up months ago so their books would stay tidy.

That is the strongest version of the argument we make on this website. The information a lender spends three weeks assembling is sitting in the platform already, current, and the owner did not have to do anything to produce it.

So the question stops being "will somebody fund this business" and becomes "here is what this business qualifies for, today, based on what you already track."

What we do and what they do

Huumans owns the experience: where it appears, what it says, which owners see it, and the advice around it. Slate sizes the offer against their data, funds the advance through facilities we manage, carries the credit risk, and runs the servicing and collections underneath.

The owner sees Huumans. That is the deal, on every partner we work with.

Two partners, two shapes, same plumbing

Fairly serves dental clinics and dental temps. Huumans serves small business owners of every kind. One is a staffing marketplace, the other is an operations platform. The customers, the moments, and the amounts are all different.

The integration is not. Both send us the data they already hold, both get back who is ready and for how much, and neither built an underwriting model, raised a facility, or hired a collections team.

That is the part I would push on if you are evaluating this for your own platform. The product your customers see should be yours and should look nothing like anyone else's. Everything under it is the same engine, and it is already running.

Tell us what your platform sees and we will tell you what it is worth.
