Michael Garrity has joined Slate's board of directors.
Michael has spent his career on the problem we are working on: getting capital to small businesses in Canada without the process that usually comes with it. He has built in this market, through more than one cycle, and knows where the hard parts actually are.
That is the specific value of him being in the room. Not encouragement. A short list of the things that go wrong, in order, from somebody who has already hit them.
